Tell us about yourself! What makes you, “you”?

The desire to blaze my own trail. I am an ambitious, motivated, disciplined entrepreneur

Describe your business/services and then tell us about what brought you to creating this business and why you’re passionate about it.

I have been the owner of the service salon for over 35 years. I love doing hair, but my passion is running a business. We are a full service salon, catering to men, women, and children.

What goals do you have for your business in the future?

To find someone to fill my shoes. One day, I would love to retire.

What is your proudest achievement?

Building a successful business in my small town of swan.

What is the biggest challenge you’ve faced as a business owner and how did you overcome it?

Uncertainty is always a challenge. I plan for the future in a way that I can meet the challenges whether they are financial or logistical.

What advice would you give to a woman looking to start a business or get into a leadership role? Is there one thing that has helped you specifically?

Don’t be afraid take the risk. Gravity is not going to disappear. There is no such thing as failure. Every episode only teaches us how to do things differently or better than next time.

Why do you feel it’s important to collaborate and empower other women?

Being a woman is our superpower! We are still underappreciated and underpaid, and too often not recognize for our successes
Why If you could recommend one resource (book, podcast, quote, website, etc.) that has helped you in life or in business, what would it be and why? 
Books and social media having inspired me. I have read books written from Michelle, Obama, Hillary Clinton, and currently reading Liz Cheney’s book “Oath and Honor” to name a few.
